Foundations of Life to host second annual "Building for Change" Fundraising Event

RACINE, WI - May 6, 2011 - Foundations of Life, a non-profit social services agency aiming to improve the structure of daily living among parenting teens and young adults, is hosting its second annual fundraising event, "Building for Change" on Thursday, May 12, 2011. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Uncorkt on 240 Main Street, Racine, Wisconsin. The admission price is a $25 to enjoy both the wine tasting and silent auction. "Building for Change" is the organization's key annual event to fundraise for its services. Additionally, the event will showcase the impact Foundations of Life has had throughout Racine and Kenosha. Tessa McKinney founded Foundations of Life in 2009 to promote positive parent and child interaction by empowering, strengthening and reinforcing teen parents with child development and child management information. McKinney aims to create an intervention to break the cycle of poverty, abuse, and low self-esteem in the Racine community.
